our Approach

In 2022, the Downtown Rogers Farmers Market partnered with the City of Rogers Arts and Culture Department to reimagine and relaunch the market in the newly renovated Frisco Plaza. Guided by a commitment to local food systems, small-scale agriculture, and community building, our team works to create vibrant market experiences that connect producers with consumers, support local businesses, and strengthen the region's food economy.

Shelly's journey in local agriculture began as the owner and operator of a diversified, no-spray produce farm raising pastured livestock and eggs. Over the years, she has managed a year-round CSA program, operated a farm store, and sold directly to customers at seasonal farmers markets. Her work has also included managing large farmers markets, publishing farm and farmers market directories, coordinating a mobile farmers market, supporting SNAP incentive programs, and developing initiatives that strengthen local food access while connecting producers with consumers. Through each role, she has remained committed to building a resilient local food system and supporting the farmers, makers, and communities that sustain it.

DTr farmers market commitment

With Shelly at the helm, our team is eager to help small-scale growers find sustainable markets, build resilient local food systems, and create meaningful community around food.

Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning as a familiar face, we hope you'll find fresh local products, meaningful connections, and a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the people and businesses that make our region special.
